Here’s where you’ll find the fine print and frequently asked questions pertaining to your LaunchKit agency subscription.
Rules
Each subscription can only be used toward one (1) business. If you have more than one (1) business and/or website you’ll be asked to create another purchase for each separate entity.
Defining Unlimited
Some of our services are indeed unlimited, however, implementation requires time. After signing up you’ll be given a dashboard where we’ll work with you to place and prioritize individual tasks into a queue. Each task typically takes 1-2 business days to complete. For Tier 1 subscriptions, our team will work on 1 task at a time, for Tier 2 we’ll work simultaneously on 2 tasks, and for Tier 3 we’ll work simultaneously on 3 tasks.
It’s usually the case that there’s an enormous queue at the start, but as we work through it you’ll find it harder and harder to keep us busy. Try not to get impatient at the outset – we’re on this journey together and we’ll get you to your destination smiling ear to ear.
How Our Website Design Works
We always start fresh and never take over an existing website; it’s too messy and stifles the process of building you something extraordinary. We much prefer to let the creative juices flow and deliver you a brand-spanking new website with fancy bells and whistles attached.
Our policy is to set you up on our preferred WordPress managed hosting where we have in-depth knowledge and experience fine-tuning your website’s underlying framework.
If you have an existing domain name we prefer that you hold it in your own account and give us restricted access to make changes to the DNS so that we can make timely changes to records such as A, CNAME, TXT, FTP, etc. That way if you decide it’s time to part ways it’ll be a clean break.
Moving Tiers
It’s extremely common for businesses to outgrow their initial plan and move up from one tier to the next – after all our goal is to get you results.
It’s helpful to be aware that once you move up to higher tiers, moving back down is very difficult. Depending on the complexity of 3rd party integrations (including social media and email marketing) it may not always be possible to keep your website as-is and there is a strong possibility that things will break despite our careful attention.
Grandfathered Pricing
We deeply appreciate your business and always honor the rate that was in place when you began the subscription to your current tier – so long as you have maintained regular payments and there have been no cancellations or pauses longer than 30 days. If pricing goes up while you’re in limbo your subscription payment will change with it.
Note that grandfathered pricing only counts for your current tier. If you’ve been on Tier 1 @ $500/mo and Tier 2 was $1,500 when you first subscribed, but is now $2,000, you’ll still be required to pay the $2,000/mo to make the jump. Food for thought if you’re on the fence about moving up. The sooner the better we say ;).
Pausing Your Subscription
If you wish to put payment on hold we’ll give you a 30 day grace period where your website will remain live, but no further tasks will be fulfilled. After that time your website will be taken offline until payments resume.
Cancelling Your Subscription
We understand that circumstances and business objectives change and that at some point you may no longer require our services. No hard feelings. You can cancel anytime, at which point all future billing will cease and your website will be taken offline.
If you choose to move your website to a different provider you’ll need to initiate a buy-out to take full control of the website as-is. The buyout fee for Tier 1 is $10,000, Tier 2 is $15,000, and Tier 3 is $20,000. Because we use proprietary systems and integrated tools we find ourselves at risk when other companies gain access to our admin systems so we try to avoid it at all possible costs.
As was the case when you were onboarded with LaunchKit, we suggest requesting that your new provider re-design your website using the language, site structure, and visual imagery that we’ll happily package on your behalf.
If you’d like us to work with your new provider to ease the transition, we kindly ask that you maintain your subscription through that process so that we can assign tasks related to the move and ensure uninterrupted uptime.
Upon cancellation, you will be refunded (within 14 days) a pro-rated amount of your monthly subscription fee based on the remaining days left in your billing cycle.
